Italian Theater Comes to Long Island!
On Sunday, October 26, 2008, Italian Theater came alive at Saint Rocco's Church in Glen Cove. To begin, Professor Vito De Simone interviewed Mario Fratti, Professor Emeritus of Hunter College, prolific international playwright and theater critic. The next segment featured Silvia Giampaola, in the one act dramma, "Il Sogno Americano". When not on stage, Silvia is the Director of Theater, Music and Dance at the Istituto Italiano di Cultura di New York. To conclude the program, Professor Fratti and Laura Caparrotti presented "Garibaldi and His Interviewer", a fascinating examination of the life of this unique and passionate man and his many loves. Laura has a degree in the History of Theater and is the PRESIDENT OF K.I.T.-Kairos ITALY THEATER Inc.
